A former Assistant Deputy Minister in the Canada Federal Public Service, Mr. Jensen has over 25 years of senior management experience shaping economic and social policy and programs for the Canadian Federal and provincial governments. He has led numerous projects throughout his career in areas such as strategic planning, designing and implementing organizational change frameworks and processes, program management concepts and design, the management of grants and contribution programs, design and implementation of learning initiatives, and the management of IT projects.
He has excellent experience in designing and delivering selected modules on leadership development. These modules have involved managing change, managing people, influencing others, strategic thinking, building partnerships and relationships, building teams, and managing diversity.
Mr. Jensen has frequently worked with international organizations (e.g. FAO, WFP) and spent three years in Brussels with the Canadian Mission to the EU, where he had extensive contacts and dealings with international organizations.
Mr. Jensen has a Master of Arts in International Affairs, Carleton University and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Alberta. He speaks fluent French and English.
